Contributions Coalivi
The lack of sight causes a person's life to have many challenges, especially in everyday life. The other senses are reorganized to replace sight, helping to reorient behavior and the way a person with visual limitations faces the world around them. Coalivi's daily goal is to support this process.
Coalivi, or in an extended way, the Corporation for Assistance to the Visually Impaired, is a non-profit entity located in the city of Concepción. It was founded in 1980 with the purpose of educating, rehabilitating and socially and occupationally inserting blind or low vision people.
This organization works to rescue people with visual disabilities from discrimination, hopelessness and marginalization, turning them into useful, active people who manage to contribute to their families and to the community in which they are inserted. Coalivi's mission is to provide the fundamental tools to people with visual limitations so that their integration is possible, as well as to promote visual health and prevention of the main causes of blindness.
Its actions are carried out through its Education and Rehabilitation Center, which provides specific programs run by a multidisciplinary team with vast experience in the ophthalmology area. Children and young people with multiple special educational needs are also cared for, who, in addition to their visual disability, have motor problems, deafness and/or cerebral palsy.
It also has a Medical Center, which is open to the public, with warm and professional attention and an optician, with its own workshop, which delivers accuracy and quality in the dispatch of optical prescriptions.
Under the premise "Look good and do good", we help Coalivi. With the idea that you can be a sustainable company and make a social contribution at the same time, we donate part of the profits from a special campaign to the foundation.
